We pride ourselves on working with organizations, citizens and the City of Long Beach on events outside of our own—and Beach Streets Downtown is no exception, with the DLBA leading programming throughout the entirety of the route’s stretch in DTLB.

We will have scaled down versions of existing DLBA signature events throughout the event on Saturday, March 19, from 10AM to 5PM, including:

  • Buskerfest at 4th & Elm
  • 720 Pine at Pine & 7th
  • Bike Fest at 1st & Linden
  • Live After 5/Craft Beer Garden at Promenade Parking Lot
  • Dogs of Downtown at Promenade Park

Guiding you throughout the Downtown will be the sweet’n’funky sounds of the Seafunk Brass Band (in addition to the many live music acts we have at the other events). Of special note, we’ll also be hosting the after party at our Live After 5 event as well as handing out special collector artwork and guides [pictured above left] for visitors to use and eventually hang on their wall.
There you have it, Long Beach: from fix-it stations to decoration stations, live art to live music, all of our events are free and open to the public. Below is a complete guide with full details about all of our events for Beach Streets, including times and places.

Complete DTLB Programming

Matt Costa to Headline Free Buskerfest at Beach Streets Downtown
Buskerfest curator hand Fingerprints Music owner Rand Foster has tapped Matt Costa to headline the event, taking place at 4th & Linden in DTLB from 10AM to 5PM.

Pow! Wow! Veteran Jeff McMillan to Create Massive Entryway Mural for Beach Streets
Jeff McMillan is one of the hardest working (and busiest) artists in Long Beach—so when we approached him to create an entryway into DTLB for Beach Streets this Saturday, March 19, we were doubly excited that he accepted.

Mystic Braves to Headline Beach Streets After Party (with Craft Beer Garden & Other Performances Included All Day)
We will be taking over the Promenade Parking Lot (between 3rd and Broadway on the Promenade) to provide you free live music from 11AM to 10PM. The only after party for the entirety of Beach Streets, this special edition of Live After 5 will have Mystic Braves, The Aquadolls, The Blank Tapes and more.

Skate Culture to Come Alive with Ramps and Free Live Music at Beach Streets Downtown
Taking over Pine Avenue at 7th Street, 720° Pine will have free live music from ten to five. The lineup includes synth punk outfit Danger Friends, Glendale’s psychedelic duo Two Eights (aka 8|8), and Long Beach rockers Telephone Lovers. Spinning in between band sets will be DJ Soluz.

Decorate Your Bike and Compete in Virtual Races at Mini Bike Fest Event at Beach Streets
From decorations for your bike—we’re talkin’ everything from feathers to reflective tape—to a jewelry station—yup, make your own bike-friendly jewelry—we got you covered. We even got virtual bike rides courtesy of Zwift. Hop on a stationary bike and compete virtually up hills and down mountains with other bicyclists.

Beach Streets on Four Legs: Event Dedicated to Pups Welcomes Dogs for Car-Free Day
Given Beach Streets is about giving the street back to the people rather than cars, we couldn’t help but take it one step further and also give it back to our pups that have been eagerly waiting to run down the middle of a street safely.
