Blurring the line between sport and stunt, the annual Thunder Thursday event that precedes the opening day of the Grand Prix brings talented motocross professionals and motorcyclists to paint the DTLB sky with high-flying tricks. To honor this tradition, we’ll be dedicating April’s Live After 5, our free monthly live music series, to all things fast.

This is Live After 5: RPM Edition.

The event will take place the Federal Bar Parking Lot on Pine Avenue between 1st and Broadway on Thursday, April 14 from 6PM to 11. It will bring with it ska, punk, and more to paint the sky with its own brand of music and energy. The lineup includes:

  • Hooray for Our Side, Orange County’s ska-n-punk outfit
  • Warehouse One, San Pedro’s premiere ska trio
  • Kid Culver, Los Angeles’s triplet that self-describes as psychedelic funk rock
  • Knyght Rider, Long Beach’s staple 80s cover band.
