After hundreds of dogs and their human pets descended upon DTLB to take over the Promenade, it is once again time to salute the four-legged members of our families, that is, our pups.

Dogs of Downtown returns Saturday, November 19 from 11AM to 3PM. This is not just an opportunity to connect dog owners in a unique way but also celebrate the many dog-friendly businesses and patios that make DTLB one of the most pet-friendly places in Southern California.

Beyond activities like an agility course, pet photo booth, as well as pet adoptions from LB Animal Care Services and many more; Dogs of Downtown wants pets and their owners to reconnect on a different level.

In the spirit of loving the human connection to animals, Beachwood BBQ & Brewing is returning with their special beer made specifically for this event: the West Coast-style IPA Hop Kong Phooey—so generously hopped with Simcoe and Equinox hops, Hop Kong Phooey will have you chasing for the next pint. 100% of its net proceeds will be donated to nonprofit Guide Dogs for the Blind.

DTLB’s best pet businesses will be on hand with booths to offer everything from treats to tips.

Even better? Adoptable pups from shelters and rescue organizations looking for their forever families with 10 rescues and shelters represented including:

Find A Spot Rescue

Bichon Rescue Brigade

Live Love Animal Rescue

Long Beach Animal Care

Downey Animal Care Center

BFF Pet Rescue

Teri’s Hope Foundation
